In game zones 3 and 5 thru 11, the dog does not have to be on a leash. In zones 1, 2, and 4 the dog must be on a leash while tracking. You are allowed to track at night and can carry a weapon that is in season. You must contact the local conservation ranger before you start the track. No special license is required other than a hunting license.
