I provide wounded deer recovery services with a trained tracking dog throughout east-central Alabama, generally within 1.5 hours of Cusseta, Alabama. This service area includes much of eastern Alabama and western Georgia. Longer-distance recoveries may be possible depending on availability.
Please contact me as soon as possible after the shot, even if you're uncertain whether a tracking dog is needed. An early phone call often makes the difference between a successful recovery and a lost deer.
To give us the best chance of success:
- Mark the shot location.
- Do not follow the blood trail unless the deer is in sight.
- Keep people out of the area and avoid disturbing the trail.
- Note the direction the deer traveled and any observations from the shot.
Call or text me with your location, the time of the shot, and the type of weapon used.
Every recovery is unique, and while no track can be guaranteed, I will make every reasonable effort to recover your deer in an ethical and professional manner.
