We are hunters too. There are 2 handlers and 3 tracking dogs in our house.
Want more information,? I started an educational page on Facebook. Look up Alberta Big Game Recovery. I have links to a great Wait Times poster and the article I wrote for the 2025 Alberta Hunting Regulations. Knowledge is power. We encourage you to reach out, even before your hunt. This will let us provide you information to maximize scenting conditions in case you need us. Read the article! Read and download/screen shot the Wait Times poster!
Stay off the sign you can see and the initial hit site! DO NOT grid search!! Call us and we will discuss all pertinent details. We know how much your animal means to you. If we give you a wait time for tracking, it is because it's based on thousands upon thousands of tracks done over the entire North America continent and what the outcomes have been. We are working to optimize the recovery of your animal. BE HONEST! BE REALISTIC! We are not here to judge your shot/impact. We need all the information to make the best decisions for you, your animal, and our tracking team. We prioritize safety and appropriate wait times. If you call us after making choices to search, that is important for us to know. We want you to recover your animal.
We travel to NE Alberta to hunt ourselves. So don't be afraid to ask us or other trackers if they can help you, even if they aren't close to you based on their listing area. The worst thing that could happen? We can't help in person. But, we have helped recover numerous animals by phone too. Helping provide a detached perspective and advice on how to proceed.
